Soul Quest

Soul Quest

Be part of a Soul Quest for Jewish Women in Los Angeles

There is a Spark inside you. Not just metaphorically. A real spark of divine light waiting to be awakened, expanded, and expressed.

This summer I am opening an intimate Soul Quest for a small group of Jewish women in Los Angeles who are craving more aliveness, more magic, more spirituality, more connection, and the desire to connect to the wisdom their souls remember.

This is for women who want to feel inspired again. Creative again. Magical again. Connected again.

This is for women who know that there is something sacred inside them waiting to fully come alive.

Beginning end of August, we will gather over 8 weeks for:

Weekly private 1:1 spiritual counseling sessions with Rabbi Eve over Zoom — a sacred, held space just for you, to go as deep as you need to go.

Plus intimate group sessions where we will explore art, movement, dance, prayer, journaling, and creative expression together.

Tap into the sacred flow — receive spiritual nourishment and realign body, heart, and soul. Soul connection through sound, ritual, and color. Kabbalistic energy healing woven throughout.

This space is for the woman who feels spiritually hungry. For the woman ready to reconnect with her light and let herself truly shine.

Held by Rabbi Eve Rothstein, a chaplain and certified spiritual counselor trained in Reiki, sound, and Kabbalistic energy healing.

Space is intentionally small and applications are required. Be part of joyful, sacred work.

Rooted in Hasidic and Kabbalistic teachings about the divine spark within every soul, this journey is about strengthening your vessel so you can hold more light, more joy, more love, and more of your authentic self.

Investment The 8-week journey ranges from $1,800–$3,600 through a community-supported sliding scale.

Participants are invited to contribute at the level that feels both honest and sustainable for them, while helping support accessibility for others in the circle. Payment plans are available.

End-of-Life Care

I am a chaplain currently in my fourth unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, trained to provide compassionate spiritual care to individuals and families navigating the end of life. I hold a Master's degree in Jewish Studies and a Chaplaincy degree from the Academy of Jewish Religion, where I also had the privilege of studying Bioethics with Rabbi Jason Weiner. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology from UCLA, and I am a graduate of Shalhevet High School, a Modern Orthodox yeshiva.

I share this background because it reflects who I am as a caregiver. As a trained interfaith chaplain with a foundation in cultural anthropology, I am knowledgeable about and respectful of all cultures, religions, and walks of life. I offer nonjudgmental support to anyone, exactly as they are. At the same time, I bring deep knowledge of Judaism and halachic medical decision-making for those who are seeking that guidance.

Through my academic and clinical training, I have developed a strong foundation in medical ethics and end-of-life decision-making. I am available to help explore the Jewish legal and philosophical dimensions that often arise around difficult medical choices — with sensitivity, care, and depth.

I approach every encounter with an open mind. My role is simply to support the needs and decisions of the person in front of me, whatever their background, tradition, or belief. I am here to offer:

  • Spiritual counseling and guidance

  • Nonjudgmental and reflective listening

  • Companionship and a steady, caring presence

  • Leading Shabbat or other religious services

  • Reciting prayers, blessings of healing, or the Vidui

  • Reiki, offered as part of my training at Cedars-Sinai

  • Aromatherapy and music as sources of comfort

  • Reading aloud, storytelling, and simply sitting together

  • Support for families alongside the person in their care

  • Exploring Jewish views of the afterlife, legacy, and meaning making

  • Help writing an ethical will or capturing your life story

  • Guidance navigating difficult medical and ethical decisions

  • Space to voice any fears, worries, or questions that are coming up for you, or anything that is weighing on your heart.

Above all, I am here to hold space — to make presence possible — in whatever form that means for you. Whether you need a hand to hold, someone to sit quietly beside you, or guidance through one of life's most profound passages, I am here. I can come to your home or your hospital room. Please don't hesitate to reach out — let me know what works best for you.

Funerals & Memorial Services

I am a rabbi and chaplain and spiritual counselor, here to walk alongside you — to take as much off your plate as you need, and to make sure that the person you love is honored in a way that truly reflects who they were.

I believe that a funeral should feel like the person it is honoring. There is no template here — every service is built custom, from scratch around the family and the life that was lived. Before I write a single word, I sit with you, listen, and ask the kinds of questions that bring a person into full view — their humor, their loves, their struggles, their legacy. From that conversation I craft a eulogy that honors their memory, and a service that feels like them.

I am knowledgeable and comfortable across the full spectrum of Jewish practice — from Orthodox to Conservative and Reform — and I will tailor every element of the service to whatever feels most meaningful to your family. Whatever your background, whatever your level of observance.

You don't have to have the right words right now. That's what I'm here for. Please reach out whenever you're ready — I would be honored to be there with you.

Your Guide

About Rabbi Evey

Rabbi Evey Rothstein is a rabbi, chaplain, spiritual counselor, artist, and host of Let Yourself Sparkle ~ a podcast exploring healing, spirituality, grief, creativity, and the mysterious connections that continue across worlds.

Rooted in Hasidic thought and Jewish mystical wisdom, and certified in Reiki and Kabbalistic energy healing, Evey's work weaves together deep presence, sacred listening, music, creativity, and heart-centered spiritual care.

She has spent years sitting beside people during life's most sacred and vulnerable moments ... at the bedsides of the dying as a hospice chaplain, and alongside those in recovery finding their way back to themselves, their meaning, and their lives. In her hospice work she has witnessed the profound and mysterious conversations that can occur at the threshold of life ~ dying loved ones reaching toward those already in spirit ~ and has held space for the grieving to feel and explore their own continued connections across worlds. From end-of-life to new beginnings. From rock bottom to rediscovering what makes life worth living. From darkness, toward light. Wherever people find themselves on that spectrum, Evey shows up with compassion, wisdom, and an unshakeable belief that healing, meaning, peace, and joy are always possible.

As the grandchild of Holocaust survivors, Evey carries a legacy of resilience, compassion, and hope that deeply shapes her calling and her commitment to helping others find meaning, healing, and light ~ even in the darkest of places.

Before stepping fully into spiritual work, Evey had an entirely other life as a fashion designer! She trained under iconic designer Betsey Johnson before launching her own brand creating light-up garments for performers and brides, pieces that graced the stages of the MTV Awards, Coachella Music Festival, and Burning Man. That lifelong fascination with light eventually evolved into something far deeper: helping people reconnect with the light of their own souls.

Today that same creative spirit lives on in her color-drenched spiritual events, the way she uses art as a spiritual practice, and her one-of-a-kind magical handcrafted tallitot... prayer shawls that literally light up and glow!

She holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology from UCLA, a Master's in Jewish Religion from AJRCA, and did her Clinical hours through Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Beit Tshuva Addiction Treatment Center.

Outside of her work, Evey is a mother, dog owner, swimmer, beach lover, harmonium player, and roller skater... a creative spirit who believes deeply that joy, and wonder are themselves forms of spiritual practice.

Creativity in Recovery

Rabbi Evey serves as a Spiritual Counselor at Beit T'Shuvah, a Jewish residential recovery treatment center in Los Angeles, where she works alongside residents of diverse spiritual backgrounds navigating the profound journey of recovery and transformation.

At the heart of her work there is a weekly creative group she developed and leads — bringing together painting, fabric dyeing, fashion upcycling, sewing, and color-drenched hands-on experimentation. Residents transform discarded clothing and materials into something new and meaningful. The process mirrors recovery itself — taking what feels broken, reworking it, and creating something entirely new.

This is not an art class. It is a sacred creative space where residents can slow down, express themselves freely, and reconnect with parts of themselves that addiction had quietly buried — their joy, their curiosity, their color, their voice.

TESTIMONIALS:

"This is the first time I have felt truly free."

"I felt my joy come back."

"It calms my anxiety and helps me feel present and grounded."

"It helps me discover who I am again."

"It gets me out of my head and quiets the racing thoughts."

"When I reach heaven, the angels will not ask me — why weren't you Moses, leading your people out of slavery? They will not ask — why weren't you Joshua, leading your people into the promised land? They will say to me: Zusya — why weren't you Zusya?"

This is the question at the heart of everything Rabbi Evey holds — not who were you supposed to be, but who are you, truly, beneath everything that covered you? How can you align more deeply with your soul, your passions, and what is sacred to you? How can you return to yourself — not the self shaped by pressure, expectation, and survival — but the self your soul has always known?

So often we mold ourselves to fit what we think the world expects of us. So often we dim our own sparkle without even realizing it.

Rabbi Evey is here to help you find it again — your sparkle, your soul, your light. To help you find a home within Judaism again, or perhaps for the very first time. To deepen your connection to G-d, to the mystical, the magical, the awe, the splendor, and the everyday miracles that surround us when we remember how to look. To help you realize — truly realize — that You are magical. Your soul is magical. And the wisdom, the light, and the beauty you are searching for outside of yourself has been living inside of you all along, quietly waiting for you to remember it.

A teaching from Reb Zushe of Anipoli captures the spirit of this work:
